Tomorrow

Tomorrow (tuesday), we are going to Salt Lake to see a stroke specialist at Primary Children's/U of U. We do not know yet if we will have any tests done. The doctor may order some, but that is likely to be at some future point and not this trip. We will also be seeing Dr. Garuder again, who we saw on Friday. Dr. Garuder did a bio-cranial adjustment on Arvil and will probably do some more work on Tuesday. We will keep you posted on how things go.

More Trouble

Toward the end of last week, Arvil was getting really cranky, which seems to be a sign that trouble might be afoot for him. On Saturday, he was much happier but we noticed that he was not using his right arm. We think that he may have had a small stroke. He is already starting to use his arm a little again, which is encouraging. He has been happy the last several days. We have had a few therapies done, such as craniosacral and foot zoning.

We have been to our local doctor, Dr. Eskelson, but he was not able to tell us much. He ran a few tests to check Arvil's immediate health. we have been in communication with Primary Children's hospital, and have an appointment with the stroke specialist on Tuesday. We are a bit frustrated with PCMC because it is nearly impossible to talk to the doctor that you want to talk to, and it seems everyone there wants to hand us off to somebody else. We are a medical hot-potato, apparently.

Please continue to remember Arvil and us in your prayers. Thank you for your love and support.

Callie's Foot

We went to see Dr. Cox (local chiropractor) about Callie's foot. He wasn't able to do much, just a few therapies and then gave us some crutches to use. Callie later went to a Podiatrist in Logan who diagnosed the problem as a stress fracture in a metatarsal bone. Dr. Bell gave us a shoe that holds a certain position on her foot and causes the heel to bear the wight instead of the toes. Callie was on crutches from Thursday through Saturday, but was walking pretty well using just the special sandal on Sunday.

Callie thinks that the best therapy she has found has been to soak her foot in oat water. The long and short is that she is feeling much better and we know what the problem is and what to expect.
